SAAFE – Speech, Assembly, Arms, Faith, Enterprise
American Freedom, indeed human freedom anywhere, rests on five essential pillars:
1. Freedom of Speech
Without free speech, truth cannot be sought, expressed nor shared and threats to liberty cannot be identified nor communicated.
2. Freedom of Assembly
Without the ability to peaceably assemble, the people cannot peacebly petition for changes in government.
3. Freedom to Keep and Bear Arms
Without the right to keep and bear arms, the people cannot defend themselves from crime and tyranny.
4. Freedom of Faith
Without Faith, the greatest of threats, including threats to liberty, will not be overcome.
5. Enterprise
Without economic independence, political independence is meaningless. Enterprise is the surest route to economic and thus political freedom.
When each of these elements is present, freedom is sure to follow. That’s why our forefathers identified and protected these freedoms within the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
