Two very contrasting Articles in the Maui News Today

The Maui news reported on both the Republican and Democrat  events held on Maui on Saturday.  I heard that the Democrat’s event was full of anger and divisiveness. While on the other hand I was told the  Republican events was uplifting , and happy. It look like the Maui News kind of reported the same thing.  Click on the links below.

    The article of the Maui Democratic Convention displayed clearly the typical struggle of the Progressive/Democratic Party these days. It’s all about the power and control of our lives. They just don’t care about the issues, the citizens of Hawaii or this Nation frankly. It’s a win at whatever it costs just as long as they are in control. As Roz Baker put it “a super majority.” Now that goes against the grain of the ground work our founding fathers laid out for us in the Constitution.

    On the other hand the other article written about the Republican Convention displayed a clear course of what the Republican Party wants to accomplish for the citizens of Hawaii and this Nation. No in fighting. Just the clear mission of less Government intrusion and less taxes and how we are to accomplish this task.

    And, what’s even more interesting not really related to these two articles but it is in some sense they are related are the amount of TEA Party protests that have occurred throughout the Nation; NO arrests and absolutely NO violence. And lately the demonstrations in Arizona and across the Nation this past weekend over the law Arizona in acted to curb the criminal alien problems they are having to protect its citizens because the Federal Government has failed to do its job. They had plenty of arrests and plenty of violence; just goes to show us how the Progressives use fascism accomplish their means.

    It’s all about control and Power and the Progressives lost their power and control in Arizona.

    Hopefully, this November we can get on the right track and solve the problems Hawaii and this Nation are experiencing from this current regime.

    “Democrat Power Focus”

    I got really angry reading the review of the local Democratic Convention over the week end. Here’s what caught my eye;

    First priority of the party; getting a democrat elected as governor.

    Lance Holter said; “Anything else here today was just a diversion from our real focus….elect a Democrat.” Roz Baker said; “…it’s also important to keep the Democratic supermajority alive and healthy in the Legislature. Amy Agbayani said; “…our focus is on the ultimate prize: governor.”

    The Legislature has over spent for the last two years, plunged us into 1.3 billion dollar debt, increased taxes 21 times this session, and destroyed our already fragile economy. We have the least efficient government structure; triple the national average per capita. Hawaii has the highest income tax rate in the nation, unemployment is up 250% since 2006, and foreclosures, bankruptcies, and mortgage delinquencies are skyrocketing. Hawaii has the 2nd worst record of job creation results in the nation and new business startups are down 13%. Hawaii is among the top five states per capita for government spending. Labor costs have doubled in the last nine years. To pay for this more local folks work multiple jobs than the national average. Anything Lingle vetoed they overrode. Additionally, now the Legislature is looking at a 25% hike in the GET tax.

    Yet the focus is; maintaining a power majority at all costs. Forget that folks are losing their jobs, their homes, can’t pay their bills, or put food on the table.
